How free spin rounds are triggered
Scatter triggers
The classic mechanic: land three or more scatter symbols anywhere on the reels and the feature
starts. Three scatters typically awards 8 to 15 spins, with four or five awarding progressively
more. On scatter-pays engines such as Sweet Bonanza the scatters need not sit on paylines at
all, since the game has no fixed lines to begin with.
Retriggers
Some features allow you to land more scatters during the round and extend it. This is worth
checking, because a retriggerable 8-spin feature is often more valuable than a fixed 15-spin

Multiplier accumulation
The single most important design difference between features. A round with a multiplier that
